Baby Pictures

Well, it seems appropriate to show off baby pictures, doesn't it? Two days ago, at 1:15 PM (an afternoon birth), we had a baby Alpaca born at our ranch. It was a cold, but sunny afternoon and we first saw him standing among a crowd of his herd mates. We had watched closely all morning, then went on to other things about noon.

We scooped him up and put him in a stall and dried him with a hair dryer and towels. Lois, his mom, was right there with us making sure we didn't mess things up.

Here are some photos of him at two days old. We need a name. His sire is Pedro, so we are thinking about Pablo. What do you think?

Anyway, all is well. Strong, big baby boy--20 lbs at birth, and mostly legs.

All our best, Ken & Lisa Larson Pedro's Pride Ranch, Sagle, Idaho.

We have room for three or four more adult females for agisting. Let us know how we can help. pedrospride@direcway.com

Congratulations. What a great looking little guy. Is he all white, no markings?
